Deepening Intimacy
An Ongoing Group for Couples to Practice and Strengthen Their Relationship Skills
Co-Sponsored by Samaritan Counseling Center
and the Relationship Resource Center
This group will provide a review and practice forum for couples who have already been introduced to the theories and techniques of Harville Hendrix's Imago® Relationship Therapy and/or Terrence Real's Relational Recovery Therapy. Topics to be covered may include: cherishing behaviors, re-visioning your relationship, understanding/contradicting your core negative image, developing your second consciousness, restructuring frustrations, and using the feedback wheel. The group format will include brief discussions and experiential exercises.
The group is open to couples who have previously completed the "Growing in Intimacy" class, or who have taken a "Getting the Love You Want" workshop, or who have been in couple's therapy that has utilized an approach based either on Relational Recovery Therapy or Imago® Relationship Therapy. Contact the group leaders to determine if you are eligible.

Times: 4 Thursday evenings, 7:00 - 8:45
Dates: Four "First Thursdays": Feb. 3rd; Mar. 3rd; Apr. 7th; May 5th
Location: Westminster United Methodist Church; W. 76th Ave. & Lowell Blvd.
Cost: $75/couple/night, totaling $300 for 4 sessions. Additional $25 materials and administrative fee, to be waived if total is pre-paid by January 27th. Minimum $100 deposit due by January 27th. Financial assistance is available; please contact leaders to request support.
