John’s Bio

For over 40 years as a licensed psychotherapist and lover of wisdom, I have counseled couples and individuals on their journeys of awakening and growth.  I have led men’s groups and facilitated couples’ workshops for the last 15 years. I have many years of experience with stepfamilies both personally and professionally.  I have been deeply committed all along to my own psychological and spiritual work in all of my relationships – in my marriage of over thirty years, with my children, my colleagues and my friends.   As a result, I believe I am an exceptionally qualified guide on many levels for couples and individuals who find themselves depressed, anxious or confused by the challenges of their life’s journey.

I believe there is a continuum of awakening and growth, starting with our basic human needs and evolving into the farther reaches of human nature.   However, this conscious evolution is neither easy nor guaranteed.   It is important to realize when we are stuck or struggling in our lives and to seek the appropriate counsel and support to help us evolve and grow.
